This page talks about class-styles, and developing specializations. It will grow in 2016, so feel free to check back.

I currently teach regular classes, with the following specializations:

  • Slow-Flow Yoga: An Iyengar-inspired, moving practice that weaves one pose into the next. Includes some long holds, and deep muscle work. Presented in a mind-body based moving meditation, with a meditative breathing practice, in the last five to ten minutes of class.
  • Gentle Yoga: A cautious style with a focus on slowly warming the muscles and preparing the nervous system for larger movements. All poses are presented with multiple alternatives. Often uses the wall and props as tools, to soften the impact of yoga postures.
  • Restorative Yoga: Training coming up, in March. I have assisted with several onsite workplace classes, and I am reading a book.
